Enterprise, AL – March 23, 2024 – Mitchell Nissan once again demonstrated their commitment to the community with the heartwarming and highly successful "Load the Rogue" event. This initiative aimed to gather essential cleaning supplies for the SOS Animal Shelter, and the community’s response was nothing short of incredible. Throughout the day, the dealership buzzed with activity as community members drove up and filled three Nissan Rogues to the brim with cleaning supplies. “We are thrilled by the overwhelming support we received from our community,” said Ross Bonura, General Sales Manager at Mitchell Nissan. “The generosity shown today will make a significant impact on the SOS Animal Shelter and the animals they care for.” The SOS Animal Shelter expressed their gratitude, "We are overwhelmed with love and the kindness of our community. For the last few weeks, we have been stretching our budget on cleaning items. When you go through three bottles of bleach, two bottles of laundry detergent, and a bottle of Dawn dish soap a day, it begins to add up. Then we can’t forget trash bags. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but with the prices on everything on the rise, simple things add up.” The shelter continued, "So when Mitchell Nissan called and asked what the biggest help for the shelter would be, we said CLEANING SUPPLIES! They hit the ground running with flyers and advertisements. The theme was 'Load the Rogue,' but y’all came out and filled three vehicles with mops, vinegar, gloves, sponges, Pine-Sol, laundry detergent, and yes, BLEACH. The bleach filled up our closets, our laundry room, and even our hallways. Yesterday was a great success, and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you to Ross at Mitchell Nissan, the friendly staff at Mitchell Nissan, and the community for making this a successful event." Adding to the event’s charm, dogs from the SOS Animal Shelter were in attendance. Visitors had the opportunity to meet and interact with these furry friends who are looking for their forever homes. The dogs lapped up the attention, receiving plenty of pets, belly rubs, and cuddles from the visitors. “The presence of the dogs brought an extra layer of joy to the event,” noted Ali Qualls, marketing Director at Mitchell Automotive. “Seeing the community come together to support both the shelter and the animals was truly heartwarming. In February 2024, Mitchell Automotive delivered more than five truckloads full of nonperishable food items to the Christian Mission pantry. These donations will play a crucial role in restocking our pantry and ensuring that thousands in the Wiregrass region have access to nutritious meals."
